Remember when Russell used to tell us about upcoming projects and reply to fans on Twitter? Come on Russ, your loyal fans miss you.
Still, even if he doesn’t reply to anyone, it’s always nice to hear from Ol’ Russ. Some tweets from tonight:

There are some similarities between Sacha and our Russ, but Sasha’s features lack that absolutely perfect symetry and ‘chiselled’ look we’ve grown accustomed to.
If Michelangelo were alive now he’d be pestering Russell for a sitting, to capture that exquisite clarity in marble.
Russell of course would be flattered but bored after 5 minutes and keep reaching for his mobile.
My guess is that Russell is resisting all social interactions to prevent himself from falling into past promiscuity-not a bad idea since he’s engaged. I had to laugh at where he was holding the “obey” plaque in the the Oscar night shots. But c’mon Russell! Make room for your fans! You can do it!
Linda – that’s so funny because when I was reading those sites that talked about them looking alike, they were NBA-related sites, and the fans there were saying the opposite of what you said. Someone said, “Sasha has a boyish handsomeness, and that other dude [Russ] is just eww!” ?? Boggles my mind how anyone could think he’s not attractive!
Frances – good point about social interactions, and I support his quest to remain monogamous. But then again, it’s just Twitter! It’s not even the most risky of behaviors he could engage in. Also, even if he doesn’t reply, it would be nice if he gave us some updates about what he’s doing – when does Arthur start filming? How is the Booky Wook 2 going? Is he going to be doing any public appearances? Etc.
Right, right-and meanwhile, is the radio show on for this weekend? Where do we tune in on the East Coast if so?
I don’t know what happened with the Dermot O’Leary show. The Guardian said he’d be on, and some fans reported that he was temporarily listed on the schedule for March 13, then it changed to “to be confirmed”. However, it now has the March 13 list of guests up and he’s not on it. If I hear anything else, I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks starleigh-maybe his website will post it at the last minute like his last standup gig. Sigh.
he’s def dropped the ball on the whole being there for his fans. he was always way more accessible to his fans than other celebs though, so maybe he’s just being a normal celeb now…
