As he mentioned on Twitter last night, Russell was courtside at the Lakers game against Tortonto.

He looks absoluely fascinated by the game, just entranced in what’s going on on the court. Wonder what that’s all about? Also, I’ve noticed his clenched fists lately… I hope that isn’t fustration and anger.
Amy: I’ve noticed his clenched fists quite a few times, wonder if its all the people around (and paps) that he feels anxious. Sometimes i wonder if he’s going to hit a pap one day, wouldn’t be like him. Is that possible I wonder?
Amy – He seems to have that look of being entranced or engrossed in a lot of situations — I’ve noticed it particularly when he’s talking to someone. He fixes that intense gaze on someone as if he’s trying to figure them out.
Christine – I dunno what the clenched fists are about, but I doubt he’d hit anyone. Anything’s possible, but fighting is really not his forte!
Star: yeah I didn’t think he would be capable of violence/fighting at all. Just one day he might lose it. There was one photo (protecting Katy) where a pap. got in the way and he collared him (in London it was) and I was a bit shocked to see it. But then I wouldn’t blame him either if he lost it a little bit.
You could see him lose it a little bit when that guy pushed him in the fountain during GHTTG filming, and he ran after him as if he instinctively wanted to retaliate. And yeah, I can imagine him possibly getting violent if it was to protect Katy or another loved one. I’ve noticed him being very protective in the really chaotic situations that they sometimes get into.
I wonder if he’s just cold? I live way up north where it’s cold for 8 months of the year nearly and I have my hands in fists all the time.
Starleigh – you’re right about that intense gaze when he’s talking to someone, though rather than trying to figure them out I get the feeling he is just totally focussed on the person he’s with sometimes, and tunes out from the rest of the world – perhaps he got engrossed in the game in the same way.
Julie – That’s a good guess too! For someone who seems to have a short attention span in many ways, he does sometimes seem to totally immerse himself in a conversation, person, or event. It’s interesting.

re: engrossing himself in situations/conversations by gazing – he must be blocking everything else out & be storing things in his brain, that’s how he’s able to remember everybody’s name and where he met them. he’s amazing in that sense!
Emma: I’m looking for the source of the photo you ask for. Its hard now to find. It was in London, he was with Katy, at night time and they were leaving a cafe in Hampstead I think it might have been called “Hollywood … something…” of all things. If i can find it I will let you know. It’s the only time I know of that he’s nearly lost it. he’s wearing a black leather jacket and white T shirt. I have the photo, but don’t know how to upload it here.

Emma: there you go. You can see how crowded it gets, no wonder he is protective – does a bloody good job of protecting Katy too.

it’s hard to see exactly what’s going on, but yeah, looks as though he’s just fed up and wanted to get into his car! must be annoying with continual obstacles.
it’s funny how he used to complain about not being famous at all in the United States, now you can see the novelty is wearing thin on him when he’s papped all the way down the streets & he gets frustrated with the photographers.
Re: fame, I think he talks about that in the interview that Jenny May (from the forum) did with him … he mentions how he used to want it so much and now it can get a bit annoying. It’s inevitable really … I’m sure he appreciates the benefits of his fame but there are bound to be downsides of it too.
