Russell gives us an update on what has happened since his visit to Kenya last year for Sport Relief.

Here is one more video from the Sport Relief program featuring Russell.

In this clip, he describes (in his own inimitable way) how it really felt to observe the children foraging in the rubbish dump, and how our donations directly help to give them a new life.

These vids speak for themselves … heartbreaking and inspiring all at once.

I’ve been eager to find out more about what Russell did in Africa for Sport Relief, and to my delight, The Mirror has a glimpse into his journey via a diary and photos.

You can see Russell on BBC1 tonight (Friday) from 7pm talking about his experiences. For those of us overseas, hopefully it will be available online, either streamed live or uploaded shortly afterward.

The Sun reports that Russell wore this “Team Christine” t-shirt in Africa recently to show support for Christine Bleakley, who hopes to become the first woman to ski the Channel.

Bleakley, presenter of BBC’s The One Show, is training for the event as part of a Sport Relief fundraiser.

From this photo and other reports that have appeared online, it seems that Russell may have some involvement in Sport Relief or Comic Relief, but nothing official has been announced.
